Hello, I am excited to be in UNBC’s Bachelor’s of Education Program to continue my journey of working with and teaching kids. I enjoyed working on recieving my bachelor’s of General Arts Degree at UNBC learning about the world, people, places, and different events. Throughout my years of education I have learned the amount of knowledge that I know is minuscule compared to what I have learned and am still learning.

Throughout my education from elementary to highschool and landing in university, I have learned the difference between good and bad teachers, those who care about teaching and their students and those who seemingly could care less about the students they are teaching. I want to make teaching my career because I know that it is a rewarding job and teachers make a great impact on their students.

I love going on adventures, whether it is to a new place or an old one, what matters is who I am with. This photo was from a trip to Mount Robson with a friend. What we have learned from travelling together, it does not matter what we are doing or where we are, we can have a great time if we choose to. The same applies to schooling and to work, if I choose to have a good time with the people that I am with I will make the most of the opportunities that I get.

The above photo is a view that I have been seeing for years spending many summers working out at Ness Lake Bible Camp as a Junior Cabin Leader, an assisant and head cook out at wilderness, spring crew, spring crew coordinator, LIT (Leader In Training) coordinator, and Head LIT Coordinator. Working out at camp in different roles of over the years has trained me in working with kids and coworkers, much of the training recieved there will add depth to the BeD program at UNBC.

Below are four pieces of artwork that I have created all by hand for hours if not days. Patience is a vertue, through crafting I have been working on patience. These crafts have taken time and some are still a work in progress. I can’t wait to see what I get to create next. (The bird earrings are magpies, a known bird in Prince George. Although by some this bird is considered a pest, I chose this bird for my university graduation earrings because these truely are beautiful birds, curous and intelligent. They are a piece of my childhood.)
